{"id":12468,"date":"2010-04-20T13:23:29","date_gmt":"2010-04-20T11:23:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mamchenkov.net\/wordpress\/?p=12468"},"modified":"2010-04-20T13:23:29","modified_gmt":"2010-04-20T11:23:29","slug":"back-from-the-party-land","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mamchenkov.net\/wordpress\/2010\/04\/20\/back-from-the-party-land\/","title":{"rendered":"Back from the party land"},"content":{"rendered":"<!-- google_ad_section_start -->\n<p>I&#8217;m back from <a href=\"https:\/\/mamchenkov.net\/wordpress\/2010\/04\/15\/2-5-32\/\">the party land<\/a>.\u00a0 This was, no doubt, <strong>the longest and heaviest birthday celebration<\/strong> that I ever had.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been going from drunk to wasted for a whole week, and got to the stage where my body does not accept alcohol any more.\u00a0 Not even a beer.\u00a0 I need a break for a week or so.<\/p>\n<p>Big thanks to everyone who sent warm wishes, presents, and money, who called and came, who thought, and so on and so forth.\u00a0 I think there were well over a hundred people who congratulated me this time.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t tell you how awesome it makes me feel!<\/p>\n<p>And of course with so many good things coming my way, there were some really special presents.\u00a0 Just to name a few:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/fallout.bethsoft.com\/\">Fallout3<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gran-turismo.com\/\">Gran Turismo<\/a> video games for PlayStation3.\u00a0 I tried both of them already and they are excellent.\u00a0\u00a0 Fallout3 will have me exploring its world for many months to come.\u00a0 Gran Turismo is faster than that &#8211; I already completed all events in category C and B, started with Category A, and got myself my first Ferrari.\u00a0 There are many excellent cars to drive, tracks to try, and I haven&#8217;t even got into online races.\u00a0 Hours and days of my life will be spent staring at the TV.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;The Mummy&#8221; and &#8220;The Mummy Returns&#8221; Blu-ray disks.\u00a0 These are my first blu-rays to both own and watch.\u00a0 I was expecting something out of a blu-ray experience, but I never expected what I got.\u00a0 It is absolutely stunning!\u00a0 I think I finally got all the bits of the setup in order &#8211; PlayStaytion3 blu-ray player, 32-inch Sony Bravia HD TV, and an HDMI cable to connect them.\u00a0 The results are mind blowing.\u00a0 It&#8217;s crisp and clear and colourful and almost 3D-like and makes me want to never ever watch another DVD again.<\/li>\n<li>Kwak beer set.\u00a0 And the best part of it &#8211; two <a href=\"http:\/\/bestbelgianbeers.wordpress.com\/2007\/12\/20\/kwak-a-belgian-beer-in-a-unique-glass\/\">traditional Kwak glasses<\/a> and a wooden glass holder.\u00a0 This is something that I always wanted to have, but would probably never bought for myself.\u00a0 In a few days, when my body clears all the traces of last week&#8217;s alcohol consumption, I will enjoy a glass of Kwak at home.\u00a0 And now I can do it with a friend too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There were, of course, more awesome presents, but the idea here is not to list all of them, but to show off the amazing people that I am surrounded with.\u00a0 Thank you all once again &#8211;
