{"id":10961,"date":"2007-12-08T03:33:29","date_gmt":"2007-12-08T00:33:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mamchenkov.net\/wordpress\/2007\/12\/08\/on-the-nature-of-old-things\/"},"modified":"2007-12-08T03:33:29","modified_gmt":"2007-12-08T00:33:29","slug":"on-the-nature-of-old-things","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mamchenkov.net\/wordpress\/2007\/12\/08\/on-the-nature-of-old-things\/","title":{"rendered":"On the nature of old things &#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<!-- google_ad_section_start -->\n<p>Here are some assorted points that will hopefully come together once I am finished writing them.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My mobile &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/mamchenkov.net\/wordpress\/2004\/07\/18\/sonyericsson-p910\/\">Sony Ericsson P910<\/a> &#8211; looks very old and much used.<\/li>\n<li>I got it second hand as a temporary solution.\u00c2\u00a0 I have feeling like it was three month ago or so.<\/li>\n<li>Via &#8220;<em>On this day<\/em>&#8221; section of the sidebar, I am reminded of <a href=\"https:\/\/mamchenkov.net\/wordpress\/2006\/12\/08\/better-than-nothing\/\">this post<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The biggest problem with this mobile was the broken keyboard.\u00c2\u00a0 A few month ago, I took it off. Now I use virtual keyboard via touch screen.<\/li>\n<li>The second biggest problem with this phone that I had, was stylus.\u00c2\u00a0 I had only one and I lost it.\u00c2\u00a0 For a few month now I&#8217;m using just my finger.<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;ve heard about &#8220;temporary being the most permanent&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>A Polish colleague of mine once noted\u00c2\u00a0 that most people in Poland drive\u00c2\u00a0 very old cars. &#8220;<em>A car of 25 years old is like brand new<\/em>&#8220;, &#8211; he said.\u00c2\u00a0 He was only half joking.<\/li>\n<li>I am looking for a new mobile phone to buy. I am not in a hurry.<\/li>\n<li>Google Android stuff sounds very cool, and it will have a lot of future, and I will have one of those.\u00c2\u00a0 But they aren&#8217;t available yet.<\/li>\n<li>iPhone is available.<\/li>\n<li>So is BlackBerry.<\/li>\n<li>I am not in a hurry.\u00c2\u00a0 By the time I will make my mind and decide to do something about my phone, probably Androids will be all over the place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yes, I am very slow sometimes.\u00c2\u00a0 But even if I am taken out of equation, like with those cars in Poland, there is one argument, which is very very simple, but is very very hard to overcome &#8211; &#8220;<strong>It works<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<!-- google_ad_section_end -->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<!-- google_ad_section_start -->\n<p>Here are some assorted points that will hopefully come together once I am finished writing them.
