I came across my post on Cyprus dating<\/a> from last November.\u00c2\u00a0 Immediately, I wanted to see how things changed.\u00c2\u00a0 Here is an updated screenshot:<\/p>\n

Before:\u00c2\u00a0 52 men and 4 women<\/p>\n

Now:\u00c2\u00a0 37 men and 15 women<\/p>\n

What does this mean?\u00c2\u00a0 Well, there are a few ways to look at it.\u00c2\u00a0 Here are my takes:<\/p>\n

  1. Dating got better.\u00c2\u00a0 The ration of men to women is approaching 1:1 – the ideal for both sides.<\/li>\n
  2. Dating got worse.\u00c2\u00a0 The total number of people decreased from 56 (52+4) to 52 (37+15).<\/li>\n
  3. These whole stats are fishy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The first two points are rather obvious.\u00c2\u00a0 What’s with the third one?\u00c2\u00a0 I don’t know.\u00c2\u00a0 Somehow, I feel that a magic number – 52 – present in both takes isn’t just a coincidence.\u00c2\u00a0 SPAM?\u00c2\u00a0 Fake accounts? Inactive accounts?\u00c2\u00a0 There are many reasons that could have caused a drop in male profiles and growth in female ones…\u00c2\u00a0 I’m not going to speculate on this.\u00c2\u00a0 At least publicly.<\/p>\n

    Instead, I suggest we look for stats on this matter somewhere else.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Alexa traffic statistics for Cyprus<\/a> suggests that AdultFriendFinder.com<\/a> is #42<\/strong> in the top visited web sites.\u00c2\u00a0 Being a married person, I’m not much of a dating person, so I don’t know of any other dating sites in that list.\u00c2\u00a0 Let’s look at what they have to offer on the statistical front.<\/p>\n

    Gladly, AdultFriendFinder.com offers a rather comprehensive listing of profiles per country<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Here is the one for Cyprus<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Quoting:<\/p>\n
