An analogy.  SPAM comments are like a bad hygiene for your blog.  It&#8217;s like someone who doesn&#8217;t take a shower &#8211; noone dies, but a lot of people suffer.  And the chances of getting a nasty desease rise significantly too.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I write a lot here about how your blog should speak well of you and your ability to communicate, so what does a comment spam covered blog say about you? Here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a few of my judgment calls on spam covered blogs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lazy<\/li>\n<li>Careless<\/li>\n<li>Procrastinating<\/li>\n<li>No self respect<\/li>\n<li>Lack of self confidence<\/li>\n<li>Inability to research<\/li>\n<li>Inability to problem solve<\/li>\n<li>Lack of follow through<\/li>\n<li>Lack of commitment<\/li>\n<li>Doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t care about others<\/li>\n<li>Just doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While on the topic of hygiene, you might like checking <a href=\"http:\/\/unknowngenius.com\/blog\/wordpress\/spam-karma\/\">SPAM Karma 2<\/a> plugin for WordPress, Wikipedia page for <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hygiene\">Hygiene<\/a>, and these <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cartoonstock.com\/directory\/b\/bad_hygiene.asp\">bad hygiene cartoons<\/a>.<\/p>\n<!-- google_ad_section_end -->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<!-- google_ad_section_start -->\n<p>While reading this post about comment SPAM at Lorelle on WordPress I had an enlightment.
