I love photography. For me, it’s like painting, but better. And more accurate. And unlike painting, I can actually participate. I am not a big success or great master by any means. But I enjoy taking pictures. I also enjoy looking at other people work and sometimes sharing it. When I do, this is the category that I use.
Happy New Year to everyone! I wish you all to have a better year and may all your wishes come true.
I, myself, am just waking up after a magnificant celebration. I had a lot of fun, a lot of drinks, and a lot of food. I have seen many people during the night too.

Today’s picture of the day was done by Olga. I was sitting there watching a movie with a bunch of bear toys. She saw me like this, grabbed a camera and made this picture. Due to my zoom length being on she had only like one place to shoot and most of the settings were for something different. Anyway, she managed and I somehow like it. Gimped a bit.

It has been a while since I posted anything to the “Picture of the day” project, so today I decided to warm up a little bit before the holiday season. This is yet another way of seeing things from my office window. Customs office parking lot.

I don’t remember if I linked to this site before, but it is good enough for me to point it out more than once – PhotoMotes.org. It is good for a good range of articles, reviews, and manuals. Most of the material has to do Canon, but other vendors are covered too.
Learning photography requires a lot of practice. For those people who have a day job, like myself, it is difficult sometimes to find interesting subjects to photograph because of all the routine. Every day looks like the previous one and changes are so small that it is easy to run out of ideas pretty soon.
Luckily, there is this web site – Photo Friday. It provides challanges for photographers on a weekly basis. There is a huge archive of previous challanges too, so if one decides to photograph along the lines of two or more themese in a single week, previous challanges could be used.
