I didn’t tell you all, but yesterday evening I picked up my car from the garage.
After almost two month of repairs, it’s as good as new. Except for the rare right light. It’s the second time it needs replacement, and it’s the second time noone sells this model in Cyprus. Dealers also don’t want to order it. As I was told, it takes time for the parts to arrive, and during this time buyer can change his mind. And dealer will end up with a spear part (oh, my god! how did that happen?) and noone to sell it to. So, wha they (dealers) do, is tell you that the part is on the way, but instead they wait for four-six month until the price for this particular part goes down and they can afford to lose the money. Whatever. For the time being, they placed a different light – another model. If you look at it, you can see the difference, but if you don’t – it’s not staring you in the eyes.
Anyway, the light is not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is that the case for this accident is still open between the insurance companies. My insurance hasn’t paid anything. The other insurance company doesn’t want to pay anything. I’ll be seeing some people about this tomorrow. Hopefully, this will resolve nicely.
The good thing is that I have the car back. I was driving a really old Mazda 323 since the accident. It had an automatic gear box, manual window and mirror controls, and a bunch of other antique features. I have totally got used to it though. I even almost forgot how good my own car was. I’ll have to get used to it again now. Especially the manual gear box and the way the car accelerates when I “step on it”. Scary…
