I wasn’t disappointed. It wasn’t breathtaking or anything, but it was a nice movie. It is a fairy tale with somewhat classical British favor – from castles, knights, and a magic world outside of the real one (connected via a well hidden gate) to character accents and tea traditions.
There were plenty of special effects. Some were very good, others needed extra work. There was a nice story behind the film. There was somewhat good casting.
I would appreciate a faster pace and/or more action. As it is, the film was a little boring and dry. There was a feeling that something great is going to happen, but it didn’t. There was only one battle at the end and it wasn’t all I hoped it to be.
Still, I enjoyed the film more than I expected I would.
