What is interesting about this film? Well, it was directed by George Lucas, produced by Francis Ford Coppola, and stars a young Harrison Ford, who isn’t even playing the main role. It was also produced on a tight schedule and low budget of only $777,777.77.
The story is pretty simple and did not in itself required much of my attention. But the music and the cars were excellent. I could easily just listen to this film or just watch it without a sound. Both the audio and visual richness provide for an excellent excuse for everything.
But there were some interesting technological achievements, considering the film is from 1973. Lots of in car footage and people talking while driving several cars was interesting to see.
I also kept feeling this de ja vu thing during the whole film, but that was easily explained when I checked the movie connections page. This film inspired a lot of activity, I tell you.
