Saved!

I should watch at least one movie a month, no? I grabbed something from my wishlist today – “Saved!” and enjoyed it, although I had to hold a halfsleeping baby for the second part of the film.

Directed by: Brian Dannelly
Genres: Comedy, Drama
Cast: Jena Malone, Mandy Moore, Macaulay Culkin, Patrick Fugit, Heather Matarazzo, Eva Amurri, Chad Faust, Elizabeth Thai, Martin Donovan, Mary-Louise Parker, Kett Turton, Julia Arkos, Donna White, James Caldwell, Nicki Clyne
IMDB raintg: 7.1
My rating: 6.5 [rate 6.5]

Saved!” is yet another one of those teenage movies. Everything is pretty standard, both the story- and acting-wise. This film is a quality product, but nothing particularly outstanding. To a bunch of regular teenage problems and scenarios, it adds a nice touch on religion, teenage pregnancy, homosexuality, and physical disabilities.

I’d recommend it to teenagers, but I won’t be watching it for the second time myself.
