Apparently, there is a project for development of three palm-shaped islands in the Gulf of Arabia, not far from Dubai. The first island is almost ready and people will start inhabiting it this year already. There is more information over here.
It must be a hell of an engineering project. And of course it should have been pretty tough financially. Nice way to boost country’s coastline though…
