We took Maxim for his routine pediatrician check-up today. Everything was smooth and nice. He has gained almost half a kilo in the last month (now: 10.4 kg) and has grown almost 2 cm (now: 78 cm). He got his next vaccination too. Yet another one will be given to him on the next visit, in about a month’s time. I hope they help…

Maxim has recovered, doctor says
Posted in All on February 1st, 2006 · 3 Comments
Dr.Simos checked Maxim today and confirmed that he has recovered from the illness. No medications are necessary at all. And the casualties weren’t so tough either - his weight loss was within limits. Actually, he didn’t have any weight loss - he weights exactly the same as he did one month ago. He just didn’t have any weight gain. That’s it.
Both Olga and I are glad for the kid. We are recovering pretty fast too. I think we are almost there.

Updates from Dr.Simos’ office

We took Maxim for another check with Dr.Simos. Doctor confirmed that Maxim is getting better, but said that he still needs to be taken good care of. The antibiotic that we were giving him worked fine, but wasn’t enough and should be continued for three more days. Also, inhalations should be done now only three times a day, and not four. Additionally, two sessions of physiotherapy were prescribed to help Maxim clear his lungs and bronches.

Another check-up
Posted in All on January 11th, 2006 · No Comments
Maxim’s temperature is under control now. But we’ve got another problem. It seems that one of the syrops that we gave him caused an allergy. He is all covered with tiny red dots.
We went to see Dr.Simos again. He confirmed that Maxim has an allergetic reaction. We decided to stop with all current syrops and to try a new one - an anti-allergetic one. Hopefully it’ll help.
Maxim’s behaviour is healthier. He is more active overall. But with all the red stuff he is sad to look at.
Off into tomorrow…
