Radio

Posted in All on February 8th, 2005 · No Comments

Watched “Radio” on DVD. At first I was a bit scared that it will be yet another movie about American football, but luckily it wasn’t. American football was just a theme for the movie. It could have been anything at all.

This film is an excellent drama. Excellent is very easy to measure in my case. If I cry like a baby, it is surely excellent. The story was good, but mostly it was due to the Cuba Gooding Jr. performance. I have already said several times that he is a very talanted actor, and I can repeat that any time. This guy is amazing. Others, of course, acted very good too in this film, but Cuba was unmatchable.

7 out of 10.

Chill Factor

Posted in All on January 13th, 2005 · No Comments

Being in a mood for some action, I watched “Chill Factor” on DVD. This is one excellent action with chemichal weapons, evil miliatry general, scientists, and millions of civilins. Well, actually there a bit less of them, but if that tunnel wouldn’t be sealed, few millions of them would be in the movie.

There was plenty of car chases, shooting, some helicopters, a lot of suspense, and some good humor. The scene with a boat sliding down the hill was totally unbelievable. Excellent stunt. There were other great ones as well some nice special effects. On top of that there was some really good acting on the part of both Cuba Gooding Jr. and Skeet Ulrich.

7.4 out of 10.

Boat Trip

Posted in All on December 8th, 2004 · No Comments

Hazard and I watched “Boat Trip” on TV. This is a hilarious comedy about two guys who, in their quest for lots of young beautiful women willing to have sex, ended up on a ship at gay tour, with practically males only onboard.

Apart from a large quantity of jokes, I really enjoyed acting in this film. Particularly, Cuba Gooding Jr. delivered and excellent performance. Award winning even.

Watch it and don’t believe a low rating at IMDB. Believe me. 7 out of 10.
