The Animal

The Animal (2001)Since there was nothing else for me to rent, I had to revert to old films that I’ve missed. “The Animal” is one of them.

Directed by: Luke Greenfield
Genres: Comedy
Cast: Rob Schneider, Colleen Haskell, John C. McGinley, Edward Asner, Michael Caton, Louis Lombardi, Guy Torry, Bob Rubin, Pilar Schneider, Scott Wilson, Raymond Ma, Michael Papajohn, Ron Roggé, Holly Maples, Henriette Mantel
IMDB raintg: 4.8
My rating: 6.0 [rate 6.0]

This is a typical Rob Schneider comedy. It has some smart humor, some situational humor, and some “toilet” humor. If it wasn’t for this last one, I would have liked it more probably. But even as it was – it was pretty good. It looked like a mix of Police Academy with Ace Ventura and some Chris Rock racial bits. Although Chris Rock wasn’t n it.

I liked the pace of the film and equal distribution of jokes throught the film. The soundtrack was pretty good – it was setting the proper mood for each scene, albeit it was a bit too noticable.

If you liked other Rob Schneider movies – watch this one too, it is along the same lines.
