My reaction to this film is more complicated than “good” or “not good”. While watching it, I was bored a couple of times and thought that it was rather slow and pointless. But there were some good scenes and I was sure that it would lead to something, so I stayed with it.

Later, while the film was still on, I realised the problem with it. It was badly edited. Most of the times films suck because too much of good stuff is edited out and too much of bad stuff stays in. This film was spoiled by the good stuff. It didn’t get enough editing.

The film is composed of three smaller films. They are unevenly timed, but all of them are good. In fact, I think that each one of them could have made it into a full standalone film and each one would be excellent. Instead all three of them were jammed together spoiling each other. I guess even the combination of any two of them would still make into some pretty decent film, but three different flicks is just too much. Although I have to give it to them, all three are tightly connected.

Other good things about this movie were the soundtrack and supporting roles. Especially, Steve Zahn who played main character’s best friend was outstanding. And hilarious.

Resume: badly edited film and thus spoiled. If you’re capable of doing movie editing in your mind – watch it. You’ll practice your extraordinary skill and save time for two other movies.
