Pirates of Silicon ValleyThere aren’t that many films about the world of information technologies, so the title of “Pirates of Silicon Valley” caught my attention.

IMDB raintg: 6.7
My rating: 7.0 [rate 7.0]

I liked the film. It did a good job of telling the history of how all this computer buzz started and how Microsoft, Apple, and IBM are related to each other. I had a few doubts about small details while watching the film, but it felt pretty accurate overall. Although it is not a documentary.

The film itself is an good drama. It shows how people can change. It shows how people can stay the same. It shows how people can stay the same even if great forces of money and power are applied to them.

Even if you don’t have any interest in computers what-so-ever (I can hardly imagine you), you might still enjoy this film quite a bit. It is based on an interesting story, it has some really good acting in it, and there is this outstanding soundtrack with bits and pieces of music from 70s and 80s.
