Watched an amazing drama “Closer” on DVD.
“Closer” is an excellent love story. It is about four people who were in love with each other at different times and simultaneously. It is about feelings. Love, jealousy, and everything. The story is very realistic, but original.
Also, the execution of the film is excellent. Acting is fantastic. Photography is amazing. Pace is a bit slow, but I got used to it after about 20 minutes. There is nothing, actually, that wasn’t matching the level of everything else.
Once again I am amazed as how fullfilling the film with just a few people in it (four!) and no special effects or dangerous stunts can be. It is entertaining and does provide some food for thought.
My only regret is that I haven’t seen this film few years ago. I was once involved in the similar situation to that one displayed in the movie (although not as deep and colorful). Unfortunately, I was behaving like and idiot (read: Dan from the film). Fortunately, it didn’t turn out as bad as it did in the film (read: happy ending). Watching this film earlier could have made me much wiser without the need of bumping my own head. Heh, better late than never they say.
