Eric S. Raymond who is more widely known for his Open Source Software advocacy, has written an excellent post in his blog. It is about the work of a great guitarist Joe Satriani. Eric comments on all Satriani albums, making it really easy to understand the work and experimentation of the musician.
I have only two Satriani’s albums - “Flying in a Blue Dream” (1989) and “Engines of Creation” (2000). I’ve heard few other tidbits, but nothing that I can organize in my head or comment on that I remember. Eric’s article makes me want to get some more Satriani music. Links anyone?
