Dog Soldiers

Posted in All on July 10th, 2004 · No Comments

Hazard, Olga, and I watched “Dog Soldiers” on DVD today. It is a nice British flick on werewolves. There are a couple of differencies that this movie has from a whole bunch of others. Firstly, it is not another Hollywood blockbuster with shiny details and special effects. This film simply doesn’t have the budget that most US studios have. Secondly, it has a different perspective. Instead of a mixture of werewolves and civil citizens this time you enjoy the point of professional British soldiers. They have organization and weapons. Organization is shown excellently, but the pity is that most of the weapons don’t work against the creatures.

The happy end is present though, which makes it look a bit like a wanna-be-american movie. Overall though I would give it a 6 out of 10 and recommend to watch it on TV when the time will come.
